The Scary Guy Comes to Cass County

By: Brooklyn Wendt and Katie Aupperle

The Scary Guy came to Cass County to share information with students telling them he wants everyone to eliminate hate, violence, and bullying. He has been to the Atlantic, CAM, and Griswold Schools. He has challenged students, staff, and the community members to go seven days and seven nights without any name calling, or talking about people behind their backs. The Scary Guy wanted the students and staff to take the challenge seriously.

Following the program, the CAM Student Council along with the Spy Staff ate lunch with Mr. Scary to discuss some additional questions. When asked why he had his name legally changed to The Scary Guy, he responded that he was referred to as The Scary Guy in a Texas newspaper. He then decided to change his name. He hopes that his message will stay with the students, staff, and the community, and we can change the world one school at a time.
